Quick Answers
Who is Ms Peacock?
Here you’ll find confections of a chocolatier. Lisa Morley learnt from one of the best, having been under the wing of French Pastry Chef and teacher Herve Boutin, MOF Meilleur Ouvrier de France. She is a perfectionist, with creative flair, and finds pure joy in every edible detail of the chocolates and sweet artisan treats she creates. She doesn’t take shortcuts; only the best of the best leaves her commercial kitchen in the Southern Highlands, NSW.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Of course we do! And they taste just as good as our other creations too. Every product listed online has the relevant icons displayed in the description: gluten free, dairy free, soy free and vegan. If you have any serious food allergies, we recommend you do not consume our products (we think it’s better to be safe than sorry).
What about shellac?
Absolutely not. Some confectioners and chocolate-makers use shellac, or confectioner’s glaze, made from insects and their by-products. Ms Peacock does not use shellac, and we never will.
Where do you source your chocolate and other ingredients?
Ms Peacock only sources the finest and freshest ingredients, directly from the maker or farmer where possible. She only partners with businesses that are environmentally and ethically responsible. Our honey is sourced from local Southern Highlands beekeepers, our hazelnuts from Batlow, organic macadamias from the NSW mid north coast and pesticide free almonds from South Australia. By working directly with the farmer, we can guarantee freshness and support a future for them and us! Our chocolate is made by some of the oldest cacaofeviers in the world, located in France. They’re focused on producing the absolute best couverture chocolate while remaining socially and environmentally responsible.
Do you really make your chocolates by hand, not with big factory machines?
Yes! Ms Peacock certainly does. You will only find artisan chocolate and confections here!
What’s the best way to buy your chocolates?
You can buy a select range of our delectable treats right here, online. In fact, you 9:30am to 4pm and Saturday 9:30am to 1.30pm. You can also place an online order for click & collect or nationwide shipping (orders are shipped via Australia Post, see below for more information).
How long do the chocolates last?
We proudly don’t use any artificial preservatives in our artisan creations. Most products online have a best before date of 4 to 6 months - but we suggest you devour them sooner rather than later! Fresh is always best.
Tell me about your shipping process?
Orders are sent via Australia Post, Express Post from the Southern Highlands, NSW, Australia. We recommend you visit the Australia Post website to check your estimated delivery times, based on the dispatch postcode 2575. Parcels are dispatched in a polyfoam box with insulated bubble to protect the confections as best as possible. Please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address to accept delivery.
Won’t the chocolate melt on the way?
Good question! Chocolate is perishable and is highly sensitive to weather conditions. Ms Peacock takes all precautions possible to package the chocolate so that it arrives in optimal condition, within a 24-hour transit time. Please use your own judgement if you or the recipient of our artisan chocolates lives in a remote location where Australia Post does not offer overnight delivery… or if there is a heat wave on! Please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address to accept delivery.
Do you offer local Southern Highlands pick-up options?
Yes we do! Please select PICK UP IN STORE during the checkout process. We’ll then contact you via email to organise a pick-up time (please be aware of our opening times before selecting this option).
These chocolates are amazing… but I can’t eat them all in one go. What should I do?
That’s OK, a second chocolate-sitting is always welcome. If you aren’t going to devour all your chocolates in one go, we suggest you store them in a cool, dark and dry place, away from anything strong smelling. Avoid the fridge, unless you prefer your chocolate cold, but be aware that condensation can harm the appearance of the product.
Do you accept returns?
This is an extremely rare question to receive! Please do choose carefully - due to the perishable nature of chocolate, we cannot offer an exchange or refund.
I need to cancel my order… sorry! Is this possible?
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately via email. If payment has been received and the order already sent, cancellation won’t be possible. Hopefully you or someone else can still enjoy these artisan treats.
I’m interested in being a wholesale distributor. How do I find out more?
Ms Peacock only has a small number of select wholesalers. Please complete the form under the Contact tab. Thanks for your interest.
What COVID-safe measures have you introduced?
